Forward Deployed AI Engineer

The candidate will be responsible for developing an end-to-end AI pipeline to analyze construction drawings in PDF/CAD formats, build computer vision models to detect construction symbols, shapes, and objects, and implement OCR and document-understanding solutions to extract text, dimensions, and measurements. The role involves leveraging Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to interpret drawings and convert extracted information into structured quantity takeoff and estimation data. The candidate will integrate AI solutions with tools such as Bluebeam, Excel, and existing estimation workflows, deploy and optimize models on in-house GPU servers without relying on paid cloud AI APIs, collaborate closely with the estimation team to improve accuracy, and develop a scalable solution that can be maintained and enhanced by ARKSIMPLIFIQ’s internal team.
